    summer garden forays. The wee scallions lined
    up on a buttered slice of bread, salted ever so
    gently and bob’s your uncle. He would do the
    same with thinly sliced radishes-I’m sure he wasn’t aware of the French Connection to
    the breakfast radish-just an inspired garden eater. Bar B Que
