Shameless Self Promotion Take 214.5

That’s my pride and joy in this month’s Food Magazine. Poor child, his mother likes to sew. He says, why, oh why, can’t I wear t-shirts like all the other boys? I say he should count his blessings. The labels read, “Made especially for you by Lisa.” Could be worse. Consider, “Made especially for you by your loving mother.” Ha!

  1. Does Teddy actually wear glasses or was that just for the shoot. The caption should be “Girls Just Want to Have Fun.”

  2. He really does wear glasses. He only needs a monocle, but they are not available for kids.

  3. The monocle in combination with the bespoke shirt *might* be a little over the top. ;^)

I’ve been a little dubious about the whole “slider” phenomenon (having grown up in Columbus, Ohio, home of the original slider at White Castle), but this is a great way to get kids into cooking.

  4. I feel the same about sliders. It’s one thing if they are at a White Castle, but another thing altogether when they are beside an $11 martini.

  5. Yes–you hit the nail on the head. It’s the $11 martini that’s just *wrong* with sliders.
